Dublin, Ireland | 15–16 October 2026
The Cybersecurity Skills Coalition European Digital Infrastructure Consortium (CSC-EDIC) participated in Digital Talent EU Days 2026, held at Trinity Business School, Trinity College Dublin, represented by PhD candidate Sozon Leventopoulos.
The event brought together representatives from European initiatives, academia, industry and cybersecurity organisations to discuss the future of advanced digital skills, emerging professional roles and cooperation across Europe’s digital skills ecosystem.
Dr. Leventopoulos contributed to two sessions:
“The Evolving Face of Cyber Roles” — An interactive workshop alongside representatives from ENISA and Ireland’s National Coordination Centre, exploring the diversity of cybersecurity roles beyond purely technical positions. Using an ENISA-developed tabletop exercise, participants examined the importance of management, human resources, organisational decision-making and resource allocation in cybersecurity.

“Building Sectoral Specialisms” — A panel discussion bringing together European skills academies and industry representatives to explore how specialised expertise can be developed while strengthening cooperation across interconnected digital technology fields. The session highlighted opportunities for collaboration through the ELEVATE+ initiative and engagement with industry stakeholders.

Key discussions also addressed the ongoing evolution of the European Cybersecurity Skills Framework (ECSF), the integration of artificial intelligence into digital skills development and the importance of stronger links between cybersecurity education and industry needs.
For CSC-EDIC, the event provided valuable opportunities to explore cooperation with European initiatives such as ELEVATE+ and organisations such as the European Cyber Security Organisation (ECSO), supporting stronger connections between cybersecurity training, professional skills development and industry requirements.
CSC-EDIC continues to promote European collaboration, skills development and stronger links between education, industry and the cybersecurity workforce.
