The CyberSec4OT project reflects both the urgency and strategic importance of cybersecurity within industrial and operational technology (OT) environments. As the digital transformation of European industry accelerates, particularly with the adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies, OT systems—which control physical processes in sectors such as manufacturing, energy, and transportation—are becoming increasingly integrated with traditional IT infrastructure. While this convergence enables new efficiencies and capabilities, the project also introduces a host of cybersecurity vulnerabilities that can impact not only business operations but also critical infrastructure and public safety.
